British International School

The British International School (BIS) is a co-educational school that offers a British style curriculum to students aged between 11 and 18 years. It caters to both the Nigerian local community and expatriates who are seeking a British education in an international setting.
The school was established in September 2001 and is situated on a large and attractive thirty-acre site on Victoria Island in the heart of the city. BIS offers both day and boarding facilities. Approximately one third of the current school population are boarders. Weekly boarding is available alongside full boarding, and the school provides a family atmosphere where all students are known and valued. Class sizes never exceed twenty students.
BIS prepares students for the IGCSE and Advanced Level courses of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) with enviable success in terms of results. The school is committed to educating the whole child so that students become well-rounded citizens of the future world. Students are encouraged to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including sports, cultural events, and creative endeavors.
