Intertraffic Mexico

Intertraffic Mexico is a regional showcase that focuses on infrastructure, safety, parking, smart mobility, and traffic management. The event provides an excellent platform for the transport and traffic industry to explore the Mexican market, find local partners, and identify local distribution channels. Intertraffic Mexico takes place in Mexico City, and it hosts a broad range of both domestic and international companies, workshops, and conferences, featuring leading industry players.

The event will include a top-notch ITS congress and unique presentations, workshops, and conferences that will provide a platform for business relationships, exchanging ideas, and learning about opportunities in the traffic and mobility technology region. The event will take place from 14 – 16 November 2023, and it will be an action-packed three days.

Mexico is at a critical juncture about urban mobility. The country is facing the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which are primarily generated by motor vehicles and account for 23% of national emissions. Additionally, the costs associated with automobile use, such as traffic congestion, emissions, accidents, and sedentary lifestyles, have a significant impact on the national economy, costing up to 5% of the GDP in cities. Reducing these costs is a priority due to the environmental impact and the disproportionately negative effect on lower-income sectors.

Regulatory changes, especially those generated at the local level, have led to the recognition of mobility as a fundamental right in legal frameworks. The focus is on providing high-quality and accessible mobility systems that allow for the equitable, sustainable, and effective circulation of people and goods to meet their needs and promote their full development.
