West Africa’s Biggest Innovation Event

Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS), 2025

Sustainable Innovation

The Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS), now in its 10th year, is an annual event that unites stakeholders from various sectors of Nigeria’s economy to exchange ideas, explore trends, and identify opportunities surrounding technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship development in Nigeria.

Over the past decade, the NIS has attracted more than 12,000 delegates, 220 speakers and panelists, representatives from 170 tertiary institutions and research centers, 50 government ministries and agencies, and delegates from 30 states in the federation. Additionally, it has garnered support from over 170 sponsors and partners, welcomed attendees from 35 countries, celebrated more than 90 innovation award recipients, and received extensive media coverage.

NIS plays a crucial role in helping Nigeria embrace innovation and advance toward digital transformation by emphasizing the use of emerging technologies, research and development (R&D), commercialization, entrepreneurship, and investment as key drivers of an innovation ecosystem. This platform raises awareness about the importance of Open Innovation in Nigeria and encourages the country to leverage innovation to enhance its competitiveness in the global economy.

The Nigeria Innovation Summit is an initiative led by InnovationHub Africa & Resources Limited, Emerging Media Nigeria, and Emerging Media and Advertising Services, New York. We collaborate with leading innovation providers from academia, government, and industry to connect Nigerian businesses and innovators with global innovation ecosystems.

Key features of the Nigeria Innovation Summit include keynote presentations, panel discussions, startup presentations, NiX Talks (Expert Insights on Emerging Technologies), innovation showcases, and innovation tours.

One of the highlights of the Summit is the Nigeria Innovation Awards, which recognize and promote states, ministries, companies, organizations, institutions, startups, and innovators that have embraced innovative practices to advance Nigeria.

As an annual gathering, NIS brings together stakeholders from various sectors of Nigeria’s economy—including governments, investors, policymakers, and players in the tech and innovation ecosystem—to discuss groundbreaking ideas, trends, and opportunities for creating innovative solutions that address unique challenges in Nigeria and Africa.

NIS is spearheaded by InnovationHub Africa, a prominent advocate for technology and innovation in Africa. Over the last 13 years, we have championed technology development in Nigeria through initiatives like the Techtrends Africa blog and the African Innovation Academy, among others.
