The Shanghai Zoo is an excellent place for amusement and leisure that offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about various animals. Shanghai Zoo is the second-largest zoo in China and is considered one of the top ten ecological zoos in the country. The zoo is situated near the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and is home to more than 6,000 animals from around 620 species.

It also has the largest number of gorillas in China. The zoo has 100,000 trees with almost 600 species planted in it. The green areas of the zoo cover 100,000 square meters (25 acres).
